Calcutta, Jan 27: CK Birla group flagship Hindustan Motors has posted a net loss of Rs 10.94 crore for the third quarter to December 31, 1998. However, the company did not provide the financials for the corresponding period last year.It reported a net sales of Rs 274.80 crore in this quarter and for the nine-month period it is Rs 749.62 crore. Expenditure for the third quarter is Rs 256.21 crore, while for the nine months it is Rs 690.33 crore.
Interest payout in this quarter was Rs 23.30 crore and the gross loss is Rs 2.28 crore. For the nine-month period ended December 31, 1998, the interest payout was Rs 55.21 crore while the gross profit was Rs 9.88 crore. The company netted a loss of Rs 10.81 crore for the nine months to December 31, 1998.
