Odyssey bags two Golden AstersOdyssey Video Communications, a MAA Group company, bagged two prestigious `Golden Aster' awards recently at the Japan International Film Festival at Osaka. The film, titled `Rockumentary,' the lone entry from India, was pitted against prestigious productions from Europe and USA, like `Father Father' of Columbia and `Sky Magenta' and `Nile' of the BBC, among others. It won the best film and best director awards (Mohammed Ali Baig) from among 30 entries.
Odyssey Video Communications is involved in the scripting and production of TV commercials, corporate and training films and documentaries.

The Products and Opinions Group has launched a prepaid calling card designed for the Indian oversees traveller. Godrej-GE's new marketing scheme:
Godrej-GE is taking an educated guess at building customer loyalty. It has started an `Honour Your Scholar' programme, which offers 500 scholarships and other awardslike Pentium multimedia PCs, 25 digital diaries and even bicycles. These offerings are open to all customers who purchase the company's appliances till February 28, 1999. The 500 finalists will be chosen on the basis of the best slogan written by them and getting a predefined set of five questions right. The scholarships will cover the tuition fees of 500 hopefuls for the academic year 1999-2000 for children upto std IX, irrespective of the amount involved.
