Dell Computer Corporation has announced the appointment of Doris Lau as its director, corporate communications, Asia. Lau will strengthen Dell's Asia-Pacific management team.

A seasoned communication professional, with over 25 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific region, Lau has held senior level positions in public relations agency management and in-house corporate communications functions.

Her previous assignments include those as managing director, Ogilvy & Mather Public Relations -- Hong Kong and China, managing director for communications training at Burson-Marsteller Asia-Pacific and group vice-president of corporate communications for Elec & Eltek.

In addition, Lau has also served as communications consultant in Singapore for various multinational clients.
