Sharp differences over key proposals

New Delhi, Jan 23: Sharp differences within the inter-ministerial group on telecommunication headed by Jaswant Singh on certain recommendations of its subcommittee, virtually forced the GoT to put the "draft recommendations" on internet for public debate late on Saturday night.GoT had earlier decided to put up the final new telecom policy on the Internet by February 17. But the date was advanced to give sufficient time for ironing out the differences among members of the group. N K Singh,secretary, PMO, sought to play down the division.
