Kohli is Escotel CEOManoj Kohli has been appointed chief executive and executive director of Escotel Mobile Communications, the largest cellular service provider in western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Kerala.
Prior to this appointment, Kohli was working with US multinational AlliedSignal as its executive director. At AllliedSignal, he was responsible for establishing an industrial park in the country, besides developing automotive products. He has also worked with the Shriram Group for over 17 years.
McGinty, Haukser are TERI scholars
Kathleen Alana McGinty, former environment advisor to the Clinton administration and Karl Haukser, officer at the US Environment Protection Agency (EPA), have been has been appointed as senior visiting fellows at the Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI). The appointments come at a time when the institute would be celebrating its silver jubilee year. TERI has also decided to renew its commitment to work for global sustainable development with particularapplication to the diverse problems of India in 1999.Globally, the institute is represented in Washington DC, Germany, Japan and Russia.
