New Delhi, Jan 19: Net investments by the foreign institutional investors (FIIs) during the week ended January 15 was $35.9 million. In rupee terms this translates into Rs 153 crore.According to the FII figures released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India on Tuesday, while gross FII purchases during the week under review were at Rs 554 crore, gross sales were worth Rs 401 crore. The whole of the investments during the week to January 15 made by the foreign institutional investors were in the equity segment of the market only. In the debt segment FIIs did not do any transaction during the week.
In the first half of the current month, FIIs have brought in $56.4 million (Rs 239.8 crore). While gross purchases were Rs 767.8 crore, gross sales were Rs 527.9 crore.
