Priority `nursery power' scheme abolished in Rajasthan: Rajasthan government on Sunday abolished the `Nursery Power Scheme' introduced to provide agricultural connections to farmers on out of turn basis on payment of extra charges.The new state government would come out with a new power policy by April, chief minister Ashok Gehlot told reporters after a meeting with his cabinet colleagues in Jaipur on Sunday.
BHEL develops new capacity induction motor:
India's largest capacity induction motor has been successfully developed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and has been supplied to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).Hitherto being imported, the pressurised enclosed 4070 kilowatt capacity squirrel cage induction motor, hasbeen manufactured and successfully tested at BHEL's Bhopal plant. The development of this motor will reduce the country's dependence on foreign suppliers, besides saving valuable foreign exchange.
