This cyber domain is open to only those who study, understand and master the art of Web development. In short, become a fully trained Webmaster. But where do you go to train as a Webmaster? Whom do you turn to for advice? Who is the best? These are questions that confront everyone who want to address the Internet rationally, especially when everyone seems to offer an Internet course and promises the earth at the end of it.

The World Wide Web Institute (3WI) of Geneva has been the latest entrant to train Web professionals in the country. Headquartered in Hyderabad, 3WI India is offering its courses through a network of authorised training centres in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Calcutta. It has also recently opened shop in NewDelhi.

Says Vaishali Juneja, centre manager of the 3WI Authorised Training Centre in South Extension, New Delhi: ``We are different from the other training institutions offering courses on the Internet because we concentrate solely on the Web and its technologies.''

The 3WI pioneered Internet education business when the Internet was just being talked about. It now claims to offer the most comprehensive and integrated Certified WebMaster course in India. The Certified WebMaster from 3WI also carries significant weight internationally since it is a globally recognised professional Internet qualification.

3WI says the participants who have undertaken its courses are at present working as Webmasters for various corporations and universities around the world. These participants own their own Website (for a limited period), developed while doing their course at the Institute, which acts as proof of their competence when they approach placement agencies or companies for employment.

Says Juneja, ``The firstbatch of students for our course have just passed out in other cities and we have been able to place all of them in leading companies.'' According to her, 3WI has a full-fledged and effective infrastructure and has partners in every part of the world to provide technical support and training.

The courses at 3WI offers a fair amount of flexibility depending upon your needs. While the Certified WebMaster Programme is fully integrated, it is also extremely flexible. ``The 3WI Certified WebMaster course incorporates the approved curricula of both Microsoft and Netscape. No other institution in India offers a choice of learning the tools of both the companies,'' Juneja points out.
