Global Green eyes Rs 100-crore exports Thapar group firm Global Green Company (GGC) has set itself an export target of Rs 100 crore in the next five years with the next fiscal alone expected to rake in Rs 20 crore revenue. Manufacturer of horticultural consumer products, GGC's main markets are USA, UK, France, Germany, Denmark and Australia, a company release said. The company at present works with about 5,000 small and marginal farmers in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu under its extension-based contract farming.
Wipro Infotech achievement:
Wipro Infotech Enterprise Solutions has joined the world's select club of six organisations to have achieved the quality milestone of SEI-CMM Level 5. Wipro is first domestic company to achieve the SEI-CMM Level 5. Motorola's Indian subsidiary is another Bangalore company which is assessed at Level 5, a release said.
JF Electra picks up 36 per cent in Moser Baer India:
Jardine Fleming (JF)Electra (Mauritius) Ltd has acquired 36 per cent stake in computer floppy disc maker Moser Baer India Ltd by investing $8 million. The private equity arm of Electra Fleming and Jardine Fleming, JF Electra is investing in India for the sixth time during the past three years, a company release said. The investment would be partly used to fund a factory for manufacturing blank optical media for export to US and European countries.
Court direction to DSS Mobile:
The Delhi high court on Monday asked DSS Mobile Communication Ltd to deposit Rs 1 crore within 15 days against about Rs 35 crore licence fee pending from the company and issued notices to the department of telecommunications (DoT) and the guaranater bank on an appeal by the company. A division bench comprising justice Devinder Gupta and justice KS Gupta directed that bank gaurantee furnished by DSS Mobile should be kept alive till January 31.
BPL Mobile service:
BPL mobile has launched its roamfree service with six cost efficientoptions. Roamfree is an automatic roaming service which enables the subscriber to retain the same SIM card and the same digit number in any part of the world. Roamfree and its products are available across the country while international roaming will be available in Singapore, Australia, France, Hong Kong, Oman and UK.
Bharti BT network:
Bharati BT has announced the deployment of a 700-site very-small aperture terminal (V-Sat) network for the Hyderabad-based Spanish Communications. The V-Sat network will be used to enable a country-wide system for monitoring of truck movement on major national highways and important state highways under the highway automation system project.
