Copper prices may rise moderately
Copper, after witnessing a steady-to-easy trend, crashed below the $1,500 per tonne level late last week while other metals were quite on the London Metal Exchange. Domestic markets were not much different either as metals continued to trade in thin volumes.
FMC mulls possible merger of 8 commexes
The Forward Markets Commission (FMC), the apex regulatory body for domestic commodity exchanges, is quietly pushing the idea of merging some of the existing 24 exchanges to set up a relatively strong national commodity exchange (NCE).
Brokers may have to carry yoke of foreign clients' scrip manipulation
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) will take action on the broker concerned for manipulation by any of his clients based abroad. The issue has come into focus considering that Sebi has no jurisdiction on clients based abroad even as steps are afoot to get brokers to set up terminals abroad at the earliest.
