Jindal Vijaynagar to trim Praxair stake
Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Ltd (JVSL), which is setting up a Rs 4,800-crore integrated steel plant at Bellary, has decided to shed its stake in Jindal Praxair Oxygen Company Ltd by 24% to 26%.
Mafatlal Industries sells Nocil rubber divison for Rs 55 crore
Mafatlal Industries has sold 42% stake in the rubber-chemical division of associate company Nocil to the Onkar S Kanwar group for Rs 55 crore. The division will be transfered to a new company, Polyolefins Rubber Chemicals (PRCL), in conformity with Nocil's three-way demerger scheme, but only after approval from the Mumbai high court
Indal, Betts group to hold talks on Courtaulds future
Indal will soon start discussions with the UK-based Betts group to decide on the future of Courtaulds Packaging India, in which Indal holds 30% stake. The move has been necessitated after the world-wide buyout of Akzo Nobel's stake in Courtaulds' plastic packaging, laminate and aluminium tubes businesses by Betts.
