Customs, excise shortfall pegged at Rs 11,000 crore
The revenue department has estimated a Rs 11,000-crore shortfall in collections during the current fiscal with customs collections expected to fall Rs 6,000 crore short of budget estimates and excise mopup expected to fall short by about Rs 5,000 crore.
