MSEB picks up 30% in Dabhol Power Corporation at long last
The Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) has at last bought its 30 per cent equity in the Dabhol Power Company for Rs 636 crore. The long-awaited agreement was signed on Friday.
Centre bays for Chhabria blood at Dunlop
The government has petitioned the Company Law Board to remove Manu R Chhabria from the post of Dunlop India chairman on the grounds that financial mismanagement on his part had led to the company's bankruptcy during his tenure.
Mahindras may bid again for HMT Pinjore tractor division
Mahindra & Mahindra is likely to make a bid for HMT's tractor division at Pinjore, which has invited offers from private players. Escorts and the Larsen & Toubro-John Deere combine were shortlisted in the first round of bidding, but later withdrew from the race.
