Nuclear Power Corporation bond issue oversubscribed
The state-run Nuclear Power Corporation (NPC) has generated Rs 125 crore from its Rs 75-crore bond issue, which had a greenshoe option of Rs 50 crore. The proceeds will be used to part-fund the two nuclear power plants at Tarapur.

Essar Power scraps Rs 90 cr debentures plan
Essar Power has shelved the proposed Rs 90-crore seven-year non-convertible debenture (NCD) issue priced at 15.5 per cent, following which rating agency Duff & Phelps has withdrawn the Ind AA- rating assigned to Essar Power NCDs.

SEBI asks Sterlite Industries to pay up for Indal shares
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has directed Sterlite Industries to accept the shares of Indal furnished to the company under its aborted takeover bid on the aluminium major.
