Essar Shipping H1 net dips to Rs 35 cr

MUMBAI, October 26: Essar Shipping has reported a dip in net profit to Rs 35.12 crore for the first half of the current financial, against Rs 57.75 crore posted in the corresponding period last year. A company issued on Monday has attributed the lower figure to the absence of profits from the sale of assets and lower income from investments. Income from operations was also marginally down to Rs 232.13 crore from Rs 238.22 crore. Operating, establishment and other expenses were down to Rs 98.01 crore, against Rs 115.48 crore.
