Export house status for Bharat Earth Movers

Bangalore, Oct 20: Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) has been accorded the export house status for a further period of three years with effect from April 1998.This certification has been issued by the director general of foreign trade (DGFT), ministry of commerce under the provisions of the Exim Policy with special import licence eligibility. BEML has a wide export market covering 25 countries and is now planning to take up project management and turnkey contracts. Additionally, the company is actively exploring the possibility of establishing joint ventures overseas for manufacturing and marketing of mining machinery, according to a release issued by the company.
