October 11: The Maharashtra government has identified agro-projects worth Rs 4,000 for display during `Agro-advantage Maharashtra', the ensuing global investors convention and exposition to be held in Mumbai from November 6."We expect that investors would be attracted to these projects as they are bankable and would be profitable ventures," state agriculture minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil told newsmen on Saturday.The identified projects, prepared by international agro-consultancy firms, are in the areas of dairy, fisheries, bio-technologies and agricultural engineering, Patil said.
Several financial institutions have evinced interest to support projects on display at the event, Patil said.
About 500 exhibitors and delegates in same numbers have confirmed their participation, states resident commissioner Ajay Dua said.
Ten countries including Israel, Holland, Hungary, Poland, Germany and France would have separate pavilion to display technologies from their countries, Patil said adding confirmationabout participation is awaited from United Kindom and Australia.
Dutch cooperative banking major, Rabo Bank with 300 billion US dollar asset base would be co-sponsoring the event, he said.
