UK consultant kicks off ONGC Bombay High midlife review
The Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has embarked upon a marathon mid-life review of the Bombay High field. Helping the corporation in this effort are UK-based consultants Gaffney, Cline & Associates (GCA), working hand-in-hand with the ONGC team. In barely a week from now, 20 key personnel of the corporation will be divided into four different teams and begin an endeavour unique in ONGC's history.
HPCL, East India Petroleum in talks for tap-off arrangements
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) plans tap-off arrangements for parallel marketeers of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) from its augmented import facilities at Visakhapatnam. Negotiations have begun already with East India Petroleum, a joint venture between Dutch multinational SHV and an Indian partnership firm called KAVAY.
VSNL mulls Rs 15-crore relaunch of Net services
The state-owned Videsh Sanchar Nigam is planning a major relaunch if its Internet services, for the first time since it began services on August 15, 1995. The relaunch, estimated at Rs 15 crore, will take place towards the end of the year. VSNL, at present, the country's sole internet service provider, will offer a host of new services to its subscribers such as domestic and international roaming facility, on-line registration, migration and renewal of accounts and virtual domain services.
