TVS Suzuki set to unveil Spectra next month
TVS Suzuki announced on Monday that it will launch a 150cc four-stroke premium scooter "Spectra" on October 1. The company chairman and managing director Venu Srinivasan said that the company plans to capture 6% to 7% of the scooter market initially, and sales of 15,000 units to 20,000 units during October to March.
India Steamship sinks deeper into the red, posts Rs 6-crore loss
India Steamship Co, the KK Birla shipping line, sank deeper into losses even after selling four of its vessels during 1997-98 and reducing fleet strength to five. Expenditure rose on account of surveys and repairs, while income fell as most of its ships were laid up for long periods.
Omega plans to unveil new ware
Omega, the Swiss watch company with Cindy Crawford as its ambassador, plans to introduce two of its well-known brands of watches - "Rado" and "Swatch" - in the country. The company is looking at several options which include the setting-up of a branch in the country or entering into a joint venture with a domestic partner.
