Centre extends celltel operator's licence-fee tenure
Union communications minister Sushma Swaraj has extended the licence period for cellular operators from 10 to 15 years. Terms and conditions for the same would be finalised by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

Court silences Roussel staff unions, okays Roussel, Hoechst Marion merger
The Mumbai high court has approved the amalgamation of Roussel India with Hoechst Marrion Roussel. The two petitions filed by the Hoechst Employees Union opposing the merger were simultaneously struck down.

ABB unlikely to bag Dabhol phase II supply deal
Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) is likely to be out of the race as an equipment supplier for phase II of the Dabhol power project. General Electric (GE), one of the promoters in the project, will continue to be the supplier.
