Mumbai, Sept 17: The Netherland-based ING Financial Services International has tied up with Bangalore-based Vysya Bank to undertake the life insurance business as well as explore opportunities in the field of retail financial services.The cooperation seeks to bring together the local expertise and extensive branch network of Vysya Bank and the worldwide expertise of ING Financial.
There is also closer cooperation in the field of corporate and investment banking through ING Barings and BBL, which has a strategic alliance with Vysya Bank since 1996.
ING Financial chief executive officer Phill Shrirriff said that the institution is committed to working with Vysya Bank to offer integrated financial services, including life insurance, to customers in the country once the legislation is passed.
Vysya Bank chairman KR Ramamoorthy said that the tie-up will enable customers to choose from a wider range of products and at the same time generate more income for the bank's network.
