Market awaits ITC case verdict

Following a short corrective rally fuelled by the success of the RIB issue, the markets have again gone into a downswing. The resurgence of the Indian rupee has arrested the price rise at software counters and the continuing crisis in Russia has adversely affected market favourites like Nestle and Dr Reddy's Labs.The scrips to be considered for selling this week are NIIT at Rs 1560, Zee Tele at Rs 570 and HLL at Rs 1630. Long positions could be taken up at the courters of ACC at Rs 1,000 and ITC at Rs 605. The immediate prospects of the market now hinge on the court's verdict in ITC's excise evasion case which falls due on September 4. Play it by the ear till then.
