Infosys denies fixing time for ADR issueInfosys Technologies Ltd has denied that it has fixed the timing for itsAmerican depository receipt (ADR) offering in the US. In a release issued onMonday, the company said the timing of the issue will depend on USregulatory procedures and market conditions. Infosys has not determined thepricing for any such offering and it will be based on market conditions atthe time of issue. The company has also not conducted any roadshows orcommenced marketing efforts for the offering, the release said.
Announcements about the ADR offer will be made at an appropriate timesubject to US regulatory restrictions, he added.
Cabletron Systems launches workgroup switch family:
Cabletron Systems on Monday announced the launch of its new workgroup switchfamily, SmartSTACK 10/100. Company director (India & Saarc) Uday Birje said,the workgroup switch is an ideal solution for providing high-speed 10/100Mbps bandwidth to dedicated end stations, workgroup LANs, servers andbackbone switches. The SmartSTACK will also support text-based e-mail aswell as more time-sensitive applications such as voice and video streaming,at a lower price point than similar products available in the market, headded. "Most networks have a layered architecture with central and multipleedge devices as basic components. With the new launch Cabletron can nowprovide both these devices," the company director said.
Firodia, Japanese team to meet
Kinetic Honda Motor Ltd chairman Arun Firodia is expected to meet atop-level Japanese delegation from the Honda Motor Co, to decide on thefuture of the joint venture, Kinetic Honda Motor Ltd. Details of who willrepresent the Japanese manufacturer, its venue or even the date of themeeting were not available although it is expected to be held within thefortnight.
