The product portfolio comprises drugs, pharmaceuticals, dyes and dye intermediates, inorganic and organic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, soaps, detergents and others.
According to Chemexcil's president Ramu Deora, promotion of exports has been Chemexcil's thrust area and it has been participating in various international exhibitions across the world. It has already booked space in the ensuing ICIF '98 Expo in Beijing to be organised by China International Exhibition Centre from September 22 to 26.
Deora, who will lead a high-level delegation to Beijing, said the ICIF '98 will provide a window of opportunities and vibrant platform for Indian exporters for fruitful interaction.
It will also help clinch attractive business deals with entrepreneurs and businessmen from chemical industries across the world.
It will also provide an opportune time to introspect on inherent strengths and wide horizons on the dynamics of trade.
Deora said he will also lead another delegation of Chemexcil and FIEO to Latim American countries comprising Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago and Mexico from September 12. According to him, Latin America has been the most promising export destination for Indian exporters and will remain so in the coming years.
The ministry of commerce has already launched a major initiative to promote exports in these emerging markets. Chemexcil will also participate in Chemical Specialities Europe 1999, Dyestuff village at Chemical Specialities Europe 1999 and Chemical Specialities Japan 1999. Chemixcil is coordinating these events in India jointly with Chemical Pharmacruitical and Adhesive group, DMG Business Media, UK.
Encouraged by the overwhelming response of about 350 overseas buyers and member-exporters last year, Chemexcil is organising Chemexcil Expo from February 17 to 19, 1999 at the expo centre, World Trade Centre in South Mumbai. "Here is the window of opportunities to observe, imbibe and respond to the dynamics and matrix of international trade and introspect on inherent strength to become globally competitive," Deora said.
