Siemens AG ropes in Booz Allen & Hamilton to review Indian operations
International consultant Booz Allen & Hamilton has been commissioned by Siemens to conduct a review of its Indian operations. This exercise has been initiated as the German giant believes that its business portfolio needs a relook in the changed scenario.
Arvind Mills plans complete realignment of brand portfolio
Arvind Mills Ltd is reportedly planning a total realignment of its brands portfolio in order to have a product in all segments of the market. Arvind Mills owns the largest selling denim brand in the country, Ruf & Tuf. It also owns the Newport and Flying Machine brands.
MTNL to ring in cellular services in Delhi, Mumbai by March '99
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) plans to launch its long-delayed cellular service operations in Delhi and Mumbai by March 1999. The decks for the service had been cleared with the Delhi high court's historic judgment quashing the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (TRAI) ruling.
