Jaswant, Talbott conclude talks
Agencies
Frankfurt, July 10: New Delhi and Washington tonight ended their formal talks on wide-ranging issues of concern, including nuclear proliferation and disarmament. There was no immediate word on the outcome of the deliberations between Jaswant Singh, prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's special emissary and US deputy secretary of state Strobe Talbott. While officials at the Indian consulate here were incommunicado on the talks which took place at an undisclosed place, the US officials merely said "no formal press statement or communique is expected".Today's meeting was the second between Singh and Talbott after India's nuclear tests in May.
