LG to take on Hindustan Lever, P&G in healthcare segment
South Korea-based LG group's flagship company -- LG Chemicals -- has lined up a range of products such as toothpastes, detergents, baby and adult diapers and fabric softners for launch over the next few months. The company is also looking at opportunities for a joint venture to launch its range of cosmetics in the country.

Maharashtra charts four-pronged strategy to increase excise collection
The Maharashtra government will implement a four-pronged strategy to increase state excise collection by Rs 800 crore from Rs 1,700 crore. The target for the current fiscal is Rs 1,900 crore.

UK services firm in talks to set up consumer credit bureau
UK-based global information-services company Experian is in talks with leading banks and finance companies to set up a consumer credit bureau in the country. The credit bureau will initially provide information on the credit history of individuals, repayment record of loans availed, address verification and credit applications made to various lenders.
