MUMBAI, June 29: New India Assurance assistant general manager AR Dudani has been appointed as the secretary of the Tariff Advisory Committee, the constitutional outfit to fix the premium of the general insurance industry. Dudani, who received his promotion as general manager recently, has succeeded CN Ravi.Ravi has been posted in General Insurance Corporation as a general manager.TAC is expected to experience change in its relationship with General Insurance Corporation soon following the move of the BJP-led coalition to open up the insurance sector. The chairmanship of TAC, which is occupied by the chairman of the GIC, is expected to be shifted to the chairman of Insurance Regulatory Authority after it is vested with constitutional status.
Meanwhile, GIC general manager AP Pradhan and New India Assurance, Chennai, assistant general manager R Rangamani have been promoted as general managers in New India Assurance, Mumbai. Oriental Insurance, Mumbai, assistant general manager D Rasgotra has beentransfered to the Delhi office of GIC on promotion as general manager.
Oriental Insurance, Delhi, general manager V Jagganathan has been shifted to United Insurance, Chennai.
