Flair Pens unveils new Pierre Cardin designs: The Rs 30-crore Flair Pens Ltd, has launched three new designs under the Pierre Cardin label titled `V-King', `Tycoon' and `Studio' priced at Rs 95, Rs 90 and Rs 25 respectively. Flair Pens Ltd announced a tie-up with Pierre Cardin two years ago. As part of the arrangement, the company has been launching writing instruments from the Pierre Cardin stable in the Indian market. Flair Pens Ltd has introduced over twenty different designs priced in the Rs 6 to Rs 1,600 range price so far.Pergo laminate flooring system: The world leader in laminate floorings, Perstop Flooring of Sweden in conjunction with Wimco has launched Pergo, a laminate flooring system in the Indian market. Easy to install, Pergo is the only laminate floor manufactured under a 2-stage high pressure bonding process, which enhances the durability of the floor.

NIIT unveils online training: The global IT services corporation, NIIT announced the world-wide launch of `NIIT Microsoft On-Line Training', India's first learning facility on the Internet. The facility prepares computer professionals for certification in Microsoft technologies. The facility hosted at NIIT Net Varsity will train IT professionals and software career aspirants on globaly sought after Microsoft technologies at a time and place of their choice.

Asset International opens education centres: Asset International, the professional training arm of Aptech Ltd, has inaugurated the largest network of Microsoft Authorised Technical Education Centres (ATEC) in the country. Asset International's ten centres were approved as Microsoft's ATEC's and will provide training based on Microsoft official curriculum. These centres are targeted at professionals interested in becoming Microsoft certified professionals.
Women Entrepreneurs' 98: The ladies wing of the Indian Merchant's Chamber has invited women entrepreneurs to participate in the Entrepreneur'98, an exhibition of products like clothes, handicrafts, jewelry, giftarticles, art and artifacts. To be organised in Mumbai, the exhibition is scheduled for October this year.
MTV video music awards: Five music videos have been nominated for the Indian Viewers Choice category, for the 1998 MTV video music awards. These include Asha Bhosle's Janam Samjha Karo, AR Rahman's Maa Tujhe Salaam, Kamaal Khan's O jaane jaana, Abhijeet's Mai koi aisa and Lata Mangeshkar and Udit Narayan's Dil to pagal hai. The five nominees have been choosen from a list of 30 finalists shortlisted for the category, based on the performance of their videos on the channels different programmes, viewers requests and sales figures.
