Sara Lee unveils new products in Chennai: Sara Lee, after the acquisition of Nestle's biscuit business, has launched Nutrine Snippets in Chennai. Snippets are crackers with an onion spiced taste. The company expects the Snippets to compete with potato wafers and other salted snacks. The product is available in a 75 gm pack, 150 gm carton and a 2.75 kg loose tin. The prices are Rs 8, Rs 16 for the 75 gm and 150 gm packs respectively. Apart from Chennai, Snippets are also available in Bangalore, Hyderabad and all of Kerala. It is soon going to be launched in other parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Cannes Advertising Festival: The biggest festival for the ad world, the Cannes festival is beginning from June 21 this month. This year Advertising Avenues managing director Gautam Rakshit has been invited to be a member of the jury which consists of an international panel of 44 of the world's best known names in advertising. The jury will be divided into two panels of 22 members, one for printand poster and the other for films. And this year too there will be no dearth of celebrities from the Indian ad world at the festival.

Channel [V] presents new series of `Channel [V] Out There': Channel [V]'s is presenting its popular programme, `Channel [V] Out There,' anew. This time it promises to show all it can of the sub-continent. Hosted by VJ Ranvir, who hosted the earlier series, Out There is being positioned as an info-tainment programme for Generation next. Incidentally past sponsor Rexona's name has been dropped from the programme. Does this mean the programme is without a sponsor or has simply found a new one?
