China resents anti-dumping measures
China on Sunday said that it had become one of the biggest victims of anti-dumping measures adopted by the developed countries against the developing nations. Terming these measures as "unfair", Zhou Shijian, vice president of the China chamber of commerce of metals, minerals and chemical importers and exporters said Chinese enterprises had no capability to dump products on overseas markets, the foreign anti-dumping cases, which involve more than $10 billion dollars, pose a `severe threat' to China's exported commodities,'' China daily business weekly quoted Zhou as saying. @Normal:Describing the rising anti-dumping trend, "a black whirlwind of international trade protectionism," Zhou said China was opposed to the expansion of exports by means of dumping and the country stood for export promotion based on international trade regulations. A total of 2,981 anti-dumping cases were launched between 1969 to 1994, most of which were imposed by developed countries on developing ones.
