NSE to segregate clearing, trading members for derivatives segment

[Details] A clear segregation between clearing members and trading members is on the anvil at the National Stock Exchange once the country's premier bourse kicks off trading in derivatives. The move is aimed to ensure brokers with financial capacity to take on risk by meeting the stringent margin requirements imposed on the futures and options segment trade in derivatives.

SBI Mutual Fund to convert Magnum Multiplier '90 into open-ended scheme

[Details] SBI Mutual Fund will convert its largest scheme, Magnum Multiplier Scheme 1990 (MMS 90), into an open-ended one from January 1, 1998. The scheme which was launched in January 1991 had been originally scheduled for redemption on December 31, 1997.

SEBI grants in-principle approval to BgSE's SGF

[Details] The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has given an in-principle approval to the settlement guarantee fund (SGF) scheme of the Bangalore Stock Exchange (BgSE). The BgSE governing council had already approved the constitution of the fund.
