SEBI amends `Know Your Client Scheme'

[Details] The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has whittled down certain provisions of the `Know Your Client Scheme', following a string of representations from bourses across the country.

[Details] Jardine Fleming Mutual Fund's maiden scheme, JF Personal Tax Saver '96, launched last year, has recorded a 71.35% excess of income over expenditure in the first year of operations. The fund has decided not to distribute dividend for the first year. Instead, it will reinvest the income into the scheme.
