Radisson hotels to kick off operations soon

[Details] The Radisson chain of luxury hotels will commence operations in Delhi, Mumbai and Calcutta during the course of this year. The list is expected to spread to Chennai and Bangalore also by 1998. The group is promoted by Carlson of the US which has a network of 360 hotels worldwide.

BPL Group likely to snap ties with Hitachi, Toshiba

[Details] The Rs 2,400 crore BPL group is likely to give up sourcing colour picture tubes from multinationals like Hitachi and Toshiba of Japan as the Indian consumer electronics giant is all set to manufacture colour picture tubes all by itself. Company sources said that commercial production of the BPL's picture tubes is slated to commence by June this year.
