Zinc futures prices marginally up

Tracking a firming trend in other base metals, zinc futures traded 0.23 per cent higher at Rs 107.25 per kg today as participants enlarged positions.
Besides, a firm demand for the metal at the spot markets also supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in December rose by 25 paise, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 107.25 per kg, with a turnover of 63 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in November traded higher by 15 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 106.35 per kg, with a turnover of 1,289 lots.
Marketmen said gains in copper and nickel at the London Metal Exchange as signs of improved economic growth in China, the biggest user, boosted demand outlook, influenced zinc futures prices
