Yogesh Nagar produced a sparkling all-round show (31 not out and 4 for 42) to help Reliance-I register an easy six-wicket win over BSNL in a match during the ongoing 20th All India JP Atray Memorial cricket tournament held at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. In a low-scoring encounter, Yogesh first starred with the ball and picked up four wickets with his bolwing skills and then hammered a quick-fire 31 to help his team romp home.
Earlier, BSNL batted first and failed to get going against the disciplined Reliance-I bowlers. Nagar was impressive with his line and length as he troubled the opposition players with his flighted deliveries. He broke the backbone of the opposition batting by picking up four wickets. Nagar received good support from Kirti Anand who also troubled the BNSL batsmen and ended up with three wickets. For BSNL, skipper Joginder played a captain's knock and top scored for the team with 65 runs but did not get any support from the other end as the team was bowled out for 197 in 48.1 overs. In reply, Reliance-I achieved the target for the loss of four wickets in 39.4 overs. Sunny Singh played a stroke-filled knock of 67 runs while Avi Brot chipped in with a quick-fire 54. Yogesh provided the late fireworks as Reliance-I completely dominated in all the departments. They collected five points for the victory.

SBoM beat ITC
DESPITE a rousing start given by its openers Amardeep Sonkar (88) and Devinder Kanwar, who added 125 runs in 15.1 overs for the first wicket, ITC finished on the losing side as State Bank of Mysore (SBoM) beat them by 75 runs in a match played at the Government College in Ropar. Chasing SBoM's mammoth total of 333, ITC were restricted to 275 for 9.
