Yadavindra Public School enters finals of Limca Book of Records Quiz

Yadavindra Public School has entered the national finals of the Limca Book of Records Quiz 2012, to be held in New Delhi on December 11. The students competed with 80 teams from across India in the semi-final round, to emerge as winners of the north zone. The students will now be amongst the top 10 teams of the country to compete in the national finals. This year, the quiz was organized in 4,000 schools across 80 cities in India with a goal to discovering quizzing talent amongst the youth of India. The multi-city initiative was launched in partnership with Derek O’ Brien and Associates and involves the participation of students from Classes VIII to XII. The Limca Book of Records Quiz was conducted in four zones — North, South, East and West — from June to December 2012.

On bird watching trip, students visit Sukhna

Chandigarh: Students of the Government Model Senior Secondary School, Timber Market at Sector 26, visited the regulator end of Sukhna Lake on the last day of the 15-day-long ‘Bird Watching Trips’. The trips have been organized for schoolchildren by the UT department of forests in collaboration with NGO Yuvsatta. On the occasion, Conservator of Forests Santosh Kumar, said that in the last 15 days, they had organized such visits for students of different government and private schools of the city.
