Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said nuclear power was an essential component of India's energy mix and he will ensure that the safety and livelihoods of people are not jeopardised in its pursuit.

"We will ensure that the safety and livelihoods of people are not jeopardised in our pursuit of nuclear power," Singh said at a function to confer lifetime achievement awards on four nuclear scientists.

Could you please initiate a Kundankulam like future Nuclear plant next to 7 Racecourse Mr.PM

Whether to start the Kundankulam plant or not is the decision of people who are residing around that particular are and not the country's servant - Elected Representatives (well, sadly Maun Mohan Singh is not even elected so Antonio maino has rightly picked her bunny to get the work KGB agent PUTIN). Russia is purposely delaying the transfer of Admiral Gorshkov to put a leverage to start Kundankulam. It is very clear that for ages Russia has been pumping the Gandhi family with millions of $$$ for carrying out their weapon trade with our nation. So what if Russia had sent Nuclear submarines to counter the US Fleet during 1971 conflict, it was securing its huge market and it would do son in future. I will just make a short point MMS that how can you even boast that India had mastered Advanced technology when you couldn't even prevent a girl being brutally Gang-raped under your nose in Delhi???? Go breathe some air!!!
