In an exclusive conversation with Indian Express at Screen Big Picture, Krrish 3 actors Hrithik Roshan along with his co-stars Kangana Ranaut, Vivek Oberoi and his director father Rakesh Roshan spoke about the journey after 'Koi Mil Gaya' and how 'Krrish 3' – the first Superhero brand in the country was almost shelved.
Rakesh Roshan says he had a tough time getting the perfect blend, "I got one script but it did not touch me. Then we got another plot but this too didn't work, so I told Hrithik, 'I cannot make 'Krrish' again.’ Then we started with ‘Kites’. After that the time came for another film to be directed by me. So I discussed it with Hrithik and my team of writers. Then we started working and eventually everything fell into place. The script was ready in 3-4 months and later we got Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi," said Rakesh Roshan, director of 'Krrish 3' in Mumbai.
"After 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', I wanted to do something different like 'Koi Mil Gaya' to display Hrithik's talent,” says Rakesh Roshan.
On being asked about rumours of 'Krrish 3' almost being shelved, Rakesh says, "It's very difficult to make a superhero film because though the villain and superhero will fight, there has to be content."
Hrithik Roshan, who has been fondly conferred the title of Bollywood’s dancing superstar, has blown fans away with his rocking moves in 'Krrish 3' song, 'Raghupati Raghav'.
Talking about the importance of song and dance in Bollywood films, Hrithik says, "We are Indians, very musical people ...me more so, because it runs in my blood…my grandfather, my chaacha, my dad. In India we celebrate with music, we even mourn with music. It's a part of our culture. And cinema is about contribution. So, if people want to see it, we will give it to them," said Hrithik.
Talking about his intense physical training for his superhero role, Hrithik says, "I have broken parts of my body doing the stunts and dance sequences for this film. But in the end, hopefully it will all be worth it."
