Bangalore: Infosys Technologies on Tuesday once again reiterated that it would not hire employees from its scandal-hit competitor, Satyam Computer Services. Speaking at a press conference in Bangalore to announce the company’s third quarter results, TV Mohandas Pai, the head of human resource development, education and research at Infosys, said, “It’s not right for the industry to poach professionals from companies in trouble.”
Just a day earlier, NR Narayana Murthy, chairman & chief mentor at Infosys, had said that his company would not act on any CVs received from Satyam employees to ensure that nothing is done that would adversely impact Satyam’s future.
However, it would appear that the company is far from reluctant to accept business from Satyam’s clients. S Gopalakrishnan, CEO of Infosys, said the company would not proactively go after Satyam’s customers. But if the customers of Satyam were to approach Infosys, they would be treated as any new business, and that Infosys would take the business if the terms and conditions were agreeable to those clients.
