yesterday was like rubbing salt into open wounds of the family...the wounds which may never heal," Yasin said.

He alleged that the leaders of the country were playing politics over the death of Afzal.

"Afzal was hanged -- rightly or wrongly, we don't want to go into that -- but politicians should stop playing politics with it," he said.

Indian Muslims voted for Pakistan 1946. What we expect from Indian Muslims rather than supporting a terrorist and then crying foul victimhood.

UNWANTED COVERAGE

I don't understand why everyone is making such hue and cry over a terrorist. Media should leave this kind of coverage and focus on more important things like maybe some recent updates on the Delhi Gang Rape trial. Let it be a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or any other religion, a terrorist is a terrorist. Being from one Land trying to create havoc and murdering people is not humanism. Guru's family should be ashamed of giving such comments to the media. It was his/her son, husband or brother who has committed an act. According to Afzal's brother, politics or no politics he deserved to be hanged till death and that's what the Govt did . So move ahead with your life and don't try to create another Afzal Guru in this country or he/she will bear the same consequences too.

Inconsequential

Afzal Guru's family should, in fact, be thankful that Afzal Guru lived for over six years after beng sentenced to death ! The media should also realise that India sees thousands of human rights incidents every year - better concentrate on those and make India a better country. All those who now crib about an unfair hearing for Afzal Guru should have helped Afzal Guru mount a proper defence when he was using all his constitutional rights. After all, a few others were acquitted in the process. In fact, our judicial system is often criticised for convicting too few people and not the other way ! Why are activists focussing on removal of capital punishment when, not more than 2-3 persons are sentenced in a country of 130 cr ! Why dont they concentrate on removing other ills plaguing the administration of justice in this country ?
