Vishwaroopam set for Jan 25 release

The initial hiccups surrounding the release of actor Kamal Haasan’s latest multilingual film Vishwaroopam seems to have been over, with the actor announcing that the film will be released on January 25. Kamal, however, did not reveal how the issue was sorted out with the exhibitors and distributors, who had staunchly opposed his plan to première the big budget film on DTH.

As per the statement from the actor issued by his production banner, Rajkamal Films International, Vishwaroopam will be released in 500 screens across Tamil Nadu.

DTH subscriber money

What about the money the subscribers paid to watch in DTH, will they be refunded? The money collected to watch vishwaroopam before the theaterical release, if it was released in theaters then no point of paying Rs. 1000 to watch the movie. The movie will be out in pirated DVDs the next day of theatre release. The movie should be released in DTH on 24th that is justice.
