London: Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is proud of her eldest son Brooklyn after he went to his first charity trip.
The 35-year-old fashion designer who is married to footballer David Beckham was delighted after her son visited poverty-stricken state Kentucky, learning about the region at his school in Los Angeles, Contactmusic reported.
"I'm pleased Brooklyn is learning that by helping and joining other children he can play a role in making his generation the greatest yet," Victoria said.
The 10-year-old Brooklyn also played football with the children at Manchester Elementary School in Clay County and presented them with shoes and backpacks, before joining his mother in an after-school reading group.
"Seeing these innovative programmes in action, I know that we can begin to reverse the childhood poverty crisis. What I saw in Clay County was the hope and promise inherent in every child. That's why we have to make sure every single child has a fair and equal start in life," Victoria added.
