



Chandigarh, May 26: : Ludhiana based Venus Garments (India) Limited, one of the largest exporters of knitwear, has bagged "Supplier of the Year 2007" award from retail giant Wal-Mart.
"We have been given this award for high level of performance in the areas of product quality, on-time delivery, ethical standards and business management," said Anil Jain, chairman of the company in a statement on Monday.
Venus Group of Companies, which has shown an exponential compounded growth of 48 percent over the last three years, exports its garments to Gap Inc, Wal-Mart, Tom Tailor, The Children's Place, Wal-Mart Mexico, Sam's Club, and Suburbia. Venus Group is a vertically integrated group encompassing
activities of yarn dyeing, fabric knitting, fabric dyeing, finishing, garmenting, garment washing, printing and embroidery.
Its range of products includes polo, t-shirts, jogging suit, sweat shirts, thermal wear, sweaters for men, women, kids and infants.
