Mumbai: UTV Motion Pictures has signed a distribution deal for release of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ and ‘Taare Zameen Par’ in Taiwan across platforms.
The films will be seen on Taiwan Terrestrial Television and Home Video including DVD and VCD with Mandarin sub-titles.
The threatrical release will be in original language with standard Mandarin sub-titles.
Both 'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Taare Zameen Par' have been showcased in the prestigious Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival which received huge appreciation and success across the
Taiwanese audience, said Amrita Pandey, vice-president, International Distribution and Syndication, UTV Motion Pictures.
The deal comes close on the heals of providing access for viewers across South East Asian territories like Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
"UTV has always attempted to create maximum access for its films for cinema lovers across the globe. Therefore it is over endeavour to be at every possible place where quality films are appreciated.
'Jodhaa Akbar' and 'Taare Zameen Par' have received great response in many markets and I am sure we would get similar response when in Taiwan," she added.
