Mumbai: Media and entertainment firm UTV Software reported 40 per cent fall in its consolidated net profit for the financial year ended March 31, 2009, to Rs 46.52 crore.
The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 77.69 crore during 2007-08 fiscal, UTV Software Communications said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, the consolidated total revenue of UTV Software rose to Rs 676.84 crore in this fiscal from Rs 442.43 crore of a year earlier.
On a standalone basis, the media and entertainment firm posted a robust growth in its net profit during FY'09. It registered a nearly 6-fold jump in its net profit during 2008-09 fiscal at Rs 25.81 crore from Rs 4.47 crore of previous year.
Meanwhile, standalone total revenue of the firm slipped to Rs 262.17 crore during the financial year 2008-09 from Rs 286.29 crore of last fiscal.
Shares of UTV Software Communications were trading at Rs 336, marginally up by 0.46 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
