'UP attracts Rs 10k-cr investments in last 10 months'
“The state government has attracted actual investment of Rs 10,000 crore in the past 10 months in various sectors. Either land has been acquired or actual work has started on these projects,” Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) Anil Kumar Gupta said.
These projects in sectors like dairy, beverages, petroleum, petro-chemical, food processing, steel, etc, he added.
Speaking about the upcoming projects in the state, Gupta said talks were on with Amul to establish its units in the state, besides work was on for developing a textile park in Fatehpur, leather clusters in Kanpur and Sandila (Hardoi) and plastic city in Auraiya.
Also, bidding process for international cricket stadium in Lucknow was also going to start, he said.
The state government also had talks with Bollywood stars, including Sanjay Khan for development of theme park in Agra that is to be based on ancient and medieval history, Gupta said, adding that it would help in attracting more tourists in Agra.
About development of an IT city here, Gupta said talks are on with HCL, which wanted to start skill development centre and other companies in this regard.
