UK stocks : FTSE 100 outperforms European stocks

led the index, gaining 3.6 percent, as it continuing a resurgence following a double upgrade by BofA/Merrill Lynch on Friday who cited the firm's dividend yield of over 9 percent.
Volumes were low, at 90 percent of their already weak 90-day daily average, subdued by wary investor sentiment but also Veterans' Day, which closed some U.S. markets and government offices.
