London: A young and successful NRI stockbroker who jumped to his death in London feared losing his job at a top German bank after he was sent home as a punishment over a silly prank "I'm hot, I'm hot" which he posted on a financial website.

Anjool Malde was an Oxford graduate who was preparing to celebrate his 25th birthday worked for Deutsche Bank, leapt from the top floor of eight-storey Coq d'Argent restaurant near the Bank of England on Sunday.

Investigators think Anjool's prank "I'm hot, I'm hot" was probably a reference to his client being on a successful investment run, Daily Mail reported.

Malde's client, who works for Brevan Howard, a leading hedge fund management firm, did not see the funny side and made a formal complaint to the company which runs the discussion forum.

The resulting investigation suggested that Malde had impersonated the client from his office computer at Deutsche Bank. This prompted the bank's bosses to send Malde home on Friday pending a full investigation.

Colleagues believe he was convinced he would lose his job. One added: 'It was a mildly offensive remark which triggered a tragic chain of events.'

Another source said: 'On the face of it, it was a very trivial incident. But in the City, issues which involve potential loss of money or reputation are taken very seriously.'

I am an India living in UK this is nothing new,when you work in european country. well it bound to be that you will be treated like a third class citizen. This european just wait for a chance to put you down and to take action but when it comes to taking action against a white people will be ignored couple of times unless is a major offence. Some of the white are not even qualified to do the job and are making mistakes most of the time which effects the business and that is reason most of the companies from britian are moving to another country because of too many loop holes in the managment. Most the companies in Britian are run on mismanagement because most of them are not even qualified to do the job and secondly are paid less and if you are not qualified pay less and get a donkey to do the job and are jealous because we can do better work and take responsibliities.

life is precious,there are many opportunities in lifethis person was stupid,i think such person would have even killed others,unstable,there are billions who dont have food to eat lite to study dress to wear and here nri kills himself,pity,i would suggest to all human beings life is precious,this world had become material,good health is what utmost important,and to live and face circumtrances in life then no matter what life will be fun and beautiful opportunities jobs happiness happy times comes goes and come again.so once should not be so silly stupid like thsi nri.roger taiwan

This is most probably a result of typical biased and looking-low type of mentality of racist europeans. It is very difficult to overcome this unless desis as a group (you may be even born there and brough up there) - but the euros see you as brownies. They are quite capable of exercising subtle psychological pressures. I'm pretty sure they would not have made the decision to send home if he was not brown skinned. Sadly a life lost at the prime. It is high time people stepped up and exerted for no nonsense unbiasedness in issues which border on outright racism. Long live human dignity and equality.

How is this discrimination? I am tired of people like you playing the race card every chance they see. Blacks and Lebanese beat indians in australia...lets blame the white man.Your story seems half baked, but even if its true you are the one to blame. Every heard of "Equal Employment Opportunity Commission" (I bet UK has a similar agency)? If you don't have the guts to stand up to your superior, what can anybody do about it? If you wanna see real discrimination just look at the dalits, muslims and christian communities in india.

It is nothing but discrimination.it seems that Person who complained definately kept prejudice and did not loose opportnity to complain against a south asian because of his mentality in this part of world

I am extremely disturbed by this unfortunate incident and feels it’s a case of discrimination. I also works for a multinational, where many things like this happen .Once I was told to hang ID around my neck, while moving in office, when My Juniors do not hang. I feel somebody should be accountable for this.
