Two personnel of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) clashed in full public view outside Indira Gandhi Pratishthan soon after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav left the venue after attending a business conference of the Indian Industries Association at Gomti Nagar area on Wednesday afternoon.

Head constable Mukund Chandra Yadav and constable Sunil Kumar Dixit of 10th Battalion PAC attacked each other with lathis.

The situation was brought under control when senior officials intervened. Inspector General (Law & Order) R K Vishwakarma said the two PAC men will be dismissed from service for the act.

Commandant, 10th Battalion Provincial Armed Constabulary, V K Dohrey said both have been put under suspension for fighting at a public place and on other charges. He added that an inquiry has also been ordered into the incident and further action will be taken after the report is received.
